August 10, 2006Otakon and "Paradise Kiss"...
I had an awesome time at Otakon last weekend. The attendees were pleasant and receptive, the staffers were helpful to a fault, and the other guests (some of whom I already knew from previous cons, but some of whom were new to me) were a great bunch of folks with whom to spend a weekend.
Otakon also marked the first time I was able to mention a recent bit of casting. Look to the photo below for clues...
Yes...voicing Yukari will be my greatest challenge ever...
I've been cast as Joji "George" Koizumi in the upcoming English dub of "Paradise Kiss," directed by the excellent Stephanie Sheh (a veritable VO juggernaut)!

Okay, I know -- we normally talk in the same range, but I can squeak it up about four octaves above that, at least. Like I said -- versatile...

I was at Otakon and I totally missed you. I didn't have any idea of where you'd be, at a panel, signing, nothing. And I was hoping to mention my love for Luke Valentine and if you would reprise the voice for the upcoming OVA.

Excellent...Paradise Kiss made an excellent transfer to anime in the first place, it's exciting that it's making a dub release. And it's awesome that you're playing George.
