    A love-letter to SBC DSL...

    My Dearest SBC DSL,

Just because I have to keep calling your customer service line doesn't mean I should be getting different answers to my same questions every single time.

    Love,

    Patrick

Don't get me started on SBC. I think they changed the name from Pacific Bell to more reflect their service -- Sucks Big Chode. 'Cause I've had DSL problems, like it'll go down at random or get slower than dial-up for no reason, and I've determined that the problem isn't with ISP (which is pretty well linked and down to earth, if you get my meaning.)

Nope -- the problem is with good ol' SBC and their crappy equipment. And they want me to sign up for Yahoo/SBC DSL? Yeah, right. Why go to the direct suckage when I can at least keep dial-up that works for an emergency?

PS: I still make out my phone bill checks to Pacific Bell, just to piss them off.

PPS: Guess you could say that SBC DSL goes down more often than a virgin on prom night...

I recently got a DSL from switching phone companies. But after the trouble of canceling/reordering the package, temporarily losing DSL, etc., it seems to be going better now. At least I can look at things that used to take forever to load.
