    Jennifer Langston is beneath contempt...

In 2002, Jennifer Langston collided with another vehicle while driving drunk and gabbing on her cell phone, killing the driver, putting his pregnant wife in a coma, and basically condemning the child (subsequently birthed by Caesarean section, and being raised by relatives) to life never having known either parent.

Her punishment? A mere 30 days in jail, house arrest and probation, and a court order to carry a picture of the dead man with her for five years. And now she's complaining about that last facet of her punishment because the photo the victim's family provided for Langston is one taken at his funeral.

According to Langston's lawyer, Michael Sherman, "It was very unreasonable and cruel that she was given that picture." He's also objecting to a $20,000 fine Langston is slated to pay to Pennsylvania's Victim's Compensation Fund.

When I read this article, I just about had to pick my jaw up off of the floor.

Oh, gee, Langston feels bad when she looks at the dead man's photo. Doesn't she realize that's the point? Why does she think the judge ordered her to carry a picture of the victim for half a decade if not to hopefully dredge up some pangs of guilt or remorse when she looks at it? What sort of photo was she expecting? Something cheery from his last vacation?

Let's look at the scorecard, folks. Jennifer Langston destroys a family because she's too stupid not to have cell phone conversations while driving drunk, gets little more than a slap on the wrist, and now she's complaining. If I had my druthers, I'd make her carry around a photo of how the victim looked immediately following the accident. She'd beg for the funeral photo, then.

I don't know who I hate more in this scenario--Jennifer Langston, the lawyer who's agreeing to submit her asinine objections, or the judge who gave her such a light punishment to begin with. Of course, the DA is no prize, either; he's agreed to have the bereaved family provide Langston with a different picture. He should be pushing to include a photo of the comatose wife in her hospital bed as part of Langston's punishment.

If this pisses you off, give this entry a negative karma point. We'll just operate under the assumption that chalking them up here somehow funnels them into Langston et al's karmic ledger. I'm not usually one to advocate wishing ill-will upon people, but I just can't help it. I'm barely willing to credit this woman and her lawyer with the moral reflexes necessary to define someone as human.

Speaking of karma, Lying Lottery Woman sure got hers and fast, didn't she? I smell a similar fate for Ms. Langston, and she'll do it to herself.

Why? Because she's yet another whiny member of the "Anyone but Me" Generation. Bet a dime she tried, at some point in the process, to blame alcohol companies and her cellphone manufacturer for the accident.

But y'know what, bitch? You got drunk, you got in that car, you got on the damn phone and committed vehicular manslaughter. (I'd call it homicide, but obviously the courts didn't.) You were lucky to not get your ass stuck in prison with the scary bulldykes until social security time. And now you have to carry an unpleasant picture around? Oh, boo-fucking-hoo, my asshole just bleeds for you.

Pardon the shouting, but: THINK OF ALL THE PEOPLE WHO KNEW AND LOVED THE MAN YOU KILLED AND THE WOMAN YOU VIRTUALLY KILLED, AND THE PICTURE THEY GET TO CARRY AROUND IN THEIR HEADS FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES -- NOT FIVE MEASLY YEARS -- THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. THEIR LOSS, THEIR PAIN, THEIR GRIEF. THINK ABOUT THE ORPHAN YOU CREATED BEFORE BIRTH. AND KEEP TELLING YOURSELF THIS: IT WAS MY FAULT. ENTIRELY MY FAULT. NO ONE ELSE'S. I AM SCUM.

Whew. Sorry about the screaming and all, but I figured it might help gas up her bad karma. What about a letter-to-the-editor writing campaign to this waste of flesh's hometown newspaper(s)? She seems to feel nothing for anyone but herself right now, but she should be feeling nothing but the deepest, darkest, most unrelenting shame.

I share your disgust, Pat. Then again, I usually do. (You don't need to suck my brain through a soda straw to already have my mind, you know...)

I am in complete and utter shock. There's no other way to describe it. You can send a juvenile to prison for 3 years for killing a girl while immitating "wrestling moves", but you slaughter a family and it's 30 DAYS AND A FINE??? Forget this picture CRAP, this bitch needs to serve what countless others have:

DUI accident: man confined to wheelchair. 9 month sentence.

    http://www.thederrick.com/stories/01082003-4010.shtml

DUI fatal accident: 6 Year prison sentence.

    http://www.indystar.com/articles/6/107231-2406-009.html

    DUI fatal accident: 2 years

    http://home.earthlink.net/~mikieat/alcohol/news/hospcrsh.html

    DUI judge-killing accident: 5 years

    http://www.bcstandard.com/News/2000/1213/Front_Page/03.html

The judge who ordered this pitiful sentence should be stripped of his duties and the lawyer who's arguing for the fine removal should be disbarred.

Absolute BULLSHIT! Driving is a priviledge, and fucking up this bad should ban her from touching a steering wheel, PERIOD.

hi, just wanted to add my two cents. i'm from the area this psycho got away with murder (luckily i got out of state!) and they're passing sentences like this all the time. my personal opinion agrees with all of you in that she should have been put in prison for life and had posters on the cell walls of the couple right when the police arrived at the scene. i think she should not only pay the fine that she's been ordered to, but also start a college fund for the child that will never know his parents the way they were. oh, and on an ending note, i just hope i get a lawyer as good (or corrupt) as she did if i ever get into any trouble.

Hey everyone. I am the 14 year old niece of Glenn Clark (the man that jennifer Langston killed) and i want to thank you all for your support. To Jon: you are a very insightful man, everything you said is right. Jennifer is nothing but a slimy little bitch that can't take responsibility for her own actions. She is the kind of person that i spit upon. I am so glad that alot of other people think the same way of Jennifer the way that my family thinks of her. What makes me the maddest is that her punishment WAS SO DAMN PITIFUL, yet she has to complain about the little that she has to do to make amends. What kinda person could tear apart a family and ONLY CARE ABOUT HERSELF!? My family has been through a lot these past couple years and her whiny-ass bullshit just makes people hate her more, and I am so pleased that it is not just my family that hates this woman with a passion. So I want you all to keep talking, (with us or against us) and go to your legislature and get all this crap changed, Alcohol curve, Drunk Driving, and Cell phone laws. All this does is gets criminals off.

I feel this woman deserves to be sentenced to jail for life. The reason we have so many incidents of drunk driving is because there is virtually no significant punishment for driving drunk. Even if you kill someone, you are usually only charged with a misdemeanor. This is insane.
