    Curses--foiled again!

It seems that the Metallica chord lawsuit brouhaha was just a clever internet hoax. Still, I think Jon Bastian said it best (and helped up both save face quite efficiently) when he said "the story seemed entirely plausible, which just demonstrates how badly Metallica has damanged their reputation with all their litigiousness in recent years. They're still a bunch of asshats."

Do you realize, though, that if it weren't for the Internet and MP3s, Metallica would no longer exist? I mean, c'mon, but really -- other than total mullet-heads born before 1968, are there any other fans of this band left on the planet? None that I can think of. Lars Ullrich and company stopped being relevant the day that Bill Clinton blew sax at his own inauguration. They shouldn't be persecuting their online fans. Quite the contrary -- if it weren't for the Columbine Kids "stealing" their music, Merdetallica would have no fanbase left on the planet.

And my earlier opinion still stands. Lars and friends are naught but a gaggle of asshats, who wear their caps fully anus forward...
